The film, which is almost 30 minutes long, took 50 professionals five weeks to make across 18 different sets. The majority of\u00a0South Side Story \u2013 all the world\u2019s a stage\u00a0<\/em>sees Barroso de Oliveira talking guests through exclusive experiences \u2013 such as watching a Baining Fire Dance in Papua New Guinea<\/p>\n \u201cEntitled \u2018South Side Story,\u2019 Silversea\u2019s World Cruise 2023 will take inspiration from the Southern Hemisphere\u2019s most captivating cultures\u2014their arts, their people, and the concept of performance as a means to engage with each destination,\u201d says Jose Vuolo, Silversea\u2019s global creative director. \u201cIt was fitting, therefore, to leverage on the famous Shakespeare phrase, \u2018All the World\u2019s A Stage,\u2019 which is an invitation to our guests to play their parts in this great story, while enjoying the spectacle of the world. What we have created is an unprecedented theatrical performance, combining a cinematographic style reminiscent of the 50s and 60s with the most advanced film technology available today\u2014the virtual set. But this production would not have been possible without inspiration from passionate travellers, such as Fernando with his incredible stories, and from Steve McCurry who showed me how to look at the world differently, and whose photos enrich some of the show\u2019s most evocative sets.
