And, it cancelled\u00a0<em>QM2&#8217;s\u00a0<\/em>first quarter 2022 voyages and will offer a new\u00a0<strong>2022 World Cruise<\/strong>\u00a0during\u00a0that time frame.<\/p>\n<h2><em>Queen Elizabeth<\/em>\u00a0Changes, Beyond the Pause<\/h2>\n<p>In a website statement, Cunard said\u00a0that \u201cwith\u00a0<em>Queen Elizabeth\u00a0<\/em>having returned to the\u00a0<strong>U.K.<\/strong>\u00a0during the pause, and with ongoing uncertainty over the reopening of ports and countries on her intended routes next year, it is sadly not practical to continue as planned.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"mobile-ad-wrapper\">\n<div id=\"ad-slot_1__mobile\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Therefore, Cunard cancelled all\u00a0<em>Queen Elizabeth\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0sailings scheduled to depart\u00a0between March 26, 2021 and December 13, 2021; that includes all sailings around\u00a0<strong>Australia<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Japan<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Alaska<\/strong>.\u00a0Those cancelled voyages will be replaced with a program of shorter European vacations from\u00a0<strong>Southampton, U.K.,\u00a0<\/strong>and a series of Mediterranean voyages sailing from\u00a0<strong>Barcelona<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights will include scenic cruising around the coasts of<strong>\u00a0England<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ireland<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Scotland<\/strong>, and a maiden port call in\u00a0<strong>Genoa, Italy<\/strong>.\u00a0<em>Queen Elizabeth<\/em>\u00a0also will overnight in such ports as\u00a0<strong>Amsterdam<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Copenhagen\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Lisbon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Port calls in\u00a0<strong>Singap<\/strong><strong>ore<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Sri<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lanka<\/strong>\u00a0await those on the ship\u2019s repositioning voyage, as\u00a0<em>Queen Elizabeth<\/em>\u00a0will return to\u00a0<strong>Melbourne, Australia<\/strong>\u00a0in December 2021. Reservations for the new<em>\u00a0Queen Elizabeth<\/em>\u00a0schedules will open on September 29, 2020.<\/p>\n<h2>2022 Changes for\u00a0<em>Queen Mary 2\u00a0<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>In addition, Cunard&#8217;s statement said: &#8220;We recognize that\u00a0<strong>COVID-19<\/strong>\u00a0has now impacted two consecutive World Voyages for our guests, causing a great deal of disappointment. Given how popular these routes are, we have made the decision to cancel all planned [<em>Queen Mary 2<\/em>] voyages\u00a0departing between January 3 and April 3, 2022, including the voyage to\u00a0<strong>South America,<\/strong>\u00a0and replace them with our much-loved classic World Voyage to Australia via the\u00a0<strong>Suez<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Canal<\/strong>.\u201d\u00a0This new 104-night itinerary will be available to book from September 8, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In the big shebang, on January 2022,\u00a0<em>Queen Mary 2<\/em>\u00a0will depart on the line&#8217;s\u00a0118-night World Voyage\u00a0roundtrip from\u00a0<strong>New<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>York<\/strong>. Guests will visit 16 countries and 27 ports in\u00a0<strong>Asia<\/strong>\u00a0and Australia. Six individual segments are available to book as well.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>FCCs and Refunds<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>For bookings impacted by the cancellations\/changes, Cunard said: \u201cWe will be crediting your guest account with a 125 percent Future Cruise Credit (FCC) on monies paid to date on your booking, which you may redeem against any voyage on sale now or on any new voyage that we introduce in the future. You have until December 31, 2021 to use your FCC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If guests prefer a refund,\u00a0they must fill out this\u00a0form.
