Enjoy a round trip from Tokyo taking in the highlights of Japan and South Korea. First, we head for Kobe, famous with foodies and a good place to strike out for the city of Kyoto. We continue to Kochi, with its Shogun castle, before sailing to poignant Hiroshima. Our next port of call is Moji, with its historic waterfront, before we reach South Korea, a society that offers visitors ancient and modern delights, ready to explore in Yeosu, Jeju island and Incheon near Seoul, as well as Busan, much loved by Koreans for its setting and magnificent temple of Beomeo-sa. Sailing back to Japan, we stop at Nagasaki, now a vibrant and charming city, and call in at Fukuoka, renowned for its cuisine. Our next port of call is Sakaiminato, followed by Kanazawa, home to the exceptionally beautiful garden of Kenrokuen. Heading north up the coast we stop at Sakata followed by Aomori, with its striking art gallery, and proceed to Hakodate, in the shadow of the mountain of the same name, before returning to Tokyo. | ||
