The infectious high spirits of Barcelona echo in our ears as we set sail from Spain to Portugal, with the added advantage of a quick hop to North Africa along the way. A day at sea gets us in the mood, enjoying all that the ship has to offer. Our first port of call is Cartagena, with its astonishing Roman ruins, and then we dip down to North Africa to explore the fort and secret tunnels of the Spanish enclave of Melilla, and the orange-scented Kasbah in Tangier, Morocco (be sure to visit the souks to pick up a souvenir or two). Next, we return to Spain, feasting on seafood in Cadiz, which is often regarded as the oldest city in Western Europe, before arriving into Portuguese waters. Relax on the glorious sandy beaches of Portimao or enjoy teeing off on its golf courses, before all too soon we arrive in Lisbon, our journey's end.
