What clothes should I bring for this July itinerary?

Deluxe Cruises packing guidance for this July polar or high-latitude itinerary

  • Pack insulating base, mid, and outer layers, plus waterproof and windproof protection appropriate to the operator's final expedition kit list.
  • Bring warm headwear, gloves, UV eye protection, and secure non-slip footwear; confirm whether expedition boots or technical outerwear are supplied or must be brought.
  • Conditions and landing access can change quickly. Follow the final voyage documents rather than treating this general list as an expedition equipment guarantee.

Viking dress guidance

  • Viking has no formal nights across its ocean, river and expedition products.
  • Expedition ships use practical, layered dress for the environment, with relaxed evenings and no formal night. Polar gear and activity clothing must follow the itinerary-specific packing list.

Packing suggestions are Deluxe Cruises editorial guidance; the cruise line's final documents and the weather forecast control the last check.

What services and amenities are available aboard Viking Polaris?
  • Expedition ships publish Nordic Balcony accommodations, scientific and enrichment spaces and equipment for relevant expedition activities; jackets, gear and included activities depend on itinerary and conditions.

Venues, hours, inclusions, equipment, and operating conditions can vary by ship and sailing. Deluxe Cruises will reconfirm the details for this departure.

What fitness, sports, or wellness facilities does Viking Polaris have?

Class schedules, age rules, treatment access, expedition activity eligibility, and equipment availability are confirmed for the exact ship and voyage.

  • Viking cannot accommodate a guest past the 24th week of pregnancy. Notify Viking promptly and confirm whether a Fit-to-Travel letter or other current documentation is required.

For Voyage XPO280703: do not assume a supervised program, babysitting, crib, or child-specific service unless it is confirmed for this sailing.

How does Viking Polaris handle special needs, medical arrangements, and accessibility?
  • Discuss mobility, medical, communication and accommodation needs before booking and complete Viking's current accessibility documentation so the ship, itinerary and excursions can be assessed.
  • A mobility device normally must meet Viking's published size and storage limits, and the guest is responsible for required equipment and personal care. Ports, aircraft, motorcoaches, gangways, steps and shore facilities can prevent access.
  • Expedition ships use small craft and remote terrain for many landings. No shore access or activity should be promised without sailing-specific approval.
  • Onboard and shoreside medical access may be limited or delayed, and Viking does not provide specialized continuing care. Bring adequate medication and equipment and disclose needs before travel.
