Explore a slice of South American life as we cruise the coasts of Chile, Peru and Ecuador on our way to Panama. Valparaiso is our departure point, a charming and colorful if hilly city, where you will be rewarded for climbing its steep cobbled streets with sights such as the home of the late author Pablo Neruda and refreshing wines from the nearby vineyards. We continue to explore Chile at Coquimbo, beloved by locals for its beaches, and, following a day at sea, Iquique, another sandy stunner that also has a fascinating museum brimming with pre-Columbian artefacts. Relax in the spa or some time perfecting your golf swing and we sail for a day to Salaverry in Peru, home to the largest adobe citadel in the Americas predating Spanish rule. Now to Guayaquil in Ecuador, where iguanas roam - a taste of what lies just across the waters in the Galapagos Islands. Finally, we reach our destination, Fuerte Amador, where an overnight stay offers plenty of time to explore nearby Panama City.
